It has been proposed that Bolnhurst & Keysoe Neighbourhood Watch setup a service whereby people who are on the net can be warned easily, quickly and at no cost of suspicious activity in the area so they can keep an eye open.
Conversely they can tip off a central contact if they see anything
suspicious, who can then spread the word and, if appropriate, inform the Police.
Riseley Police Station has started “Bedfordshire Horsewatch” giving guidance on many aspects of equestrian ownership from a crime prevention viewpoint.
There are a number of actions that can be taken to avoid become a victim of this type of crime and in most cases they are very simple and low-cost but extremely effect.
