Minutes of 25th June 2007 Planning Committee Print E-mail
The verified minutes of the planning meeting held in the Village Hall, Keysoe on Monday 25th June 2007 were:

1. MEMBERS PRESENT

Cllr. Mrs Whitmore (Chairman), Cllr. Bates, Cllr. Mrs Browning, Cllr. Bryans, Cllr. Mrs Landmann and Cllr. Worth.  The Clerk Mrs Maddison was in attendance.

2. TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE FROM MEETING
Cllr. Dix

3. DECLARATIONS OF CLLRS. PREJUDICIAL OR PERSONAL INTERESTS IN THE BUSINESS HEREUNDER
Cllr. Bates declared a personal and prejudicial interest in planning application No. 07/01560/FUL

4. OPEN FORUM FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC TO SPEAK
Cllr. Bates (applicant of planning application to be discussed) informed the parish council that the two replacement floodlight columns are an improvement on the existing columns as the floodlights shine towards the centre and not towards any neighbouring properties.  The existing columns would be taken down after planning permission is granted.  The lights are purely a replacement and would be used up until 10pm only and this would enable longer training times in the winter months.  This would not be used for competitions.

5. PLANNING APPLICATIONS FOR DISCUSSION
07/01560/FUL - Erection of two floodlight columns on eastern boundary at the College Equestrian Centre, Church Road, Keysoe, MK44 2JP – Cllr. Bates left the meeting at this point.  Cllrs. Mrs Browning and Mrs Landmann had visited the site and it was felt that these floodlighting columns were an improvement on the existing ones and it was felt that provided they were switched off at 10 pm and that the old columns were taken down in the stated 2 month period on the application and that no competitions would be held as a result of the lighting, then they should be supported.  This was felt by all of the Councillors and Cllr. Worth also pointed out that the lights to be used are as per the Institute of Lighting Engineers guidelines.  With all in favour it was resolved to support the application.

6. CLOSE OF MEETING
There being no other business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 19:43 hours.
