4. TO VERIFY THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MONDAY 19TH MARCH 2007 AND THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF THE SAME DATE

5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE ABOVE MEETINGS
  • Footpath along the B660 – It has been agreed by Bedfordshire County Council that some of the footpath is in need of repair due to the weeds growing through.  An order will be raised to repair the worst areas of the footpath and will be programmed to be done in the summer.  They have sent a request to their design team asking if they can go ahead with installing the cycle path signs.  Once they have the go ahead they will raise an order to erect the signs.   
  • Proposed new Bus Shelter in Bolnhurst – All site visits etc. have been put on hold since Oct/November as they are implementing a new system to deal with all new enquiries which has to be written up in ink.  This should be ratified very soon and then they will start to play catch up on all of the site visits.  There is to be more involvement between the County Council, Transport and highways.

PLANNING DECISIONS MADE BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL – For information only
06/02918/FUL – Alterations and extension to north circuit track and construction of 3 to 5 metre high acoustic bund and associated landscaping along part of the eastern and northern boundary at Palmer Sport, Former DRA site in Thurleigh – Permission granted.
07/00142/FUL – Replacement garage and store and installation of wind turbine.  2m fence or railings to front boundary (Fence omitted by condition) to Lingfield, Keysoe Row West, Keysoe, MK44 2JG – Permission granted.

9. FINANCE
To agree the signing of the following cheques: Beds Assoc. Town & Parish Councils £122.00, Allianz Cornhill (insurance) £404.23, and Mrs J Maddison – Clerks Account £454.19

17. TEWKSBURY BOROUGH COUNCIL ARE ASKING FOR SUPPORT IN THE MOTION TO REINTRODUCE FREE POSTAGE FOR THE BRITISH FORCES


18. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED:

  • A letter has been received from Lucy Thurnatt from Pertenhall Road, Keysoe, asking if the Parish Council could build a newsagent.
  • Bedford Borough Council – Rural Affairs Committee Agenda received for the meeting on Tuesday 17th April.
  • Hidden Britain (promoting green tourism in little known areas)– there is a meeting to be held in Colmworth Village hall on Monday 16th April 2007
  • CPRE – the AGM is on Tuesday 24th April 2007 at St. Nicholas Church Hall, Barton-le-Clay at 7.30pm
  • Bedfordshire County Council – The Bedfordshire Landscape Character Assessment Public Consultation April – May 2007 – A questionnaire has been received to be returned by the end of May
  • Biffaward have sent through an entry form as the playing field project may be considered for the Biffaward Awards 2007 and win upto £7000.00 towards the scheme.
  • Bedfordshire County Council –The Commons Act 2006 – A new opportunity to register land as new town or village greens, document received.
  • Bedfordshire County Council – Bedfordshire and Luton Minerals Development Plans, Supplementary Issues and Options Consultation – Two documents have been published, one is for core strategy issues and the other relates to potential new sites for mineral working.  These documents are available on the web site between 27th April and 4th May.
  • Bedford Borough Council – Notification of Out of Hours Noise Patrol and phone number to ring if affected - received.
  • Sharnbrook Upper School – Formal Consultation documents received
  • Calor Village of the Year 2007 – expression of interest to be returned by 14th May.
  • Bedford Borough Council – Pride in Bedford, a list of possible dates for a community clean up have been received.
  • Bedfordshire County Council – Spring Briefing session dates received – Tuesday 17th April at County Hall, Bedford. RSVP
  • Margaret Beaufort Middle School – Proposed North Bedfordshire Trust (NBT) document received.
