Bolnhurst & Keysoe Parish Councillors
Bolnhurst and Keysoe is a civil parish with a population (as at 2001) of 734. It is served by 7 Parish Councillors who meet, usually monthly, in the Village Hall at Keysoe.
All Parish Council meetings are open to the press and the public and
there is a public open session at the start of each meeting for a total
of 15 minutes, when any member of the parish can put forward their
concerns or ideas to the Parish Council.
The
Parish Council also holds Planning meetings and Committee meetings mid
month if there is a need to do so. These are also held in Keysoe
Village Hall at 7.30pm and are open to the public and press also. The
dates for these meetings are advertised on the three Parish notice boards.
Please
feel free to come along to any of the Parish Council Meetings either to
address the Council with your concerns or ideas or just to listen to
the meeting and be one of the first to know of any new ideas or
problems the Council is discussing for you.
The
Parish council are committed to making the most of your parish. The
Bus shelters are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Three new dog waste bins have been purchased. Two new Parish Notice
boards have been made and erected. The grass verges are cut regularly
and kept in a tidy fashion. A good relationship has been established
with the Highways Dept. and the Parish Council are continually striving
to get improvements to the existing footpaths and roads.
The
Parish council has also donated money to both Churches for the upkeep
of the church yards, money to the Old School at Bolnhurst for the new
floor, The Village Show at Keysoe, Village Voice and Kymbrook Lower
School.
