A Parish Plan for Bolnhurst and Keysoe Print E-mail
Countryside Agency logo Bolnuhrst and Keysoe Parish Council are inviting all members of the parish to attend a public meeting on Monday 13th November from 7pm in Keysoe Village Hall to discuss the creation of a Parish Plan. Jemma McDonald from BRCC will be presenting an explanation about the process of producing a Parish Plan. We shall only know if this project is viable by the number of people sufficiently interested to attend the meeting - so please come along.

The drawing up of a Parish Plan has been mentioned for several years now, but has always been put aside as it was thought that it would cause too much work and no-one felt able to take it on.

Briefly, a Parish Plan provides an opportunity for the whole community to voice their opinions on what action they wish to see in their locality in future. It involved everyone in the village, maps out those services and facilities which are already in place and discovers what issues and opportunities people feel need addressing. The plan sets out the parish's aims and targets for the next 5-10 years. Please note also that this will not be run by the Parish Council, but if it goes ahead two Parish Councillors would be involved.

So far 13 villages in Bedfordshire have a Parish Plan in place.
