It would appear from the comments made that a large majority of those responding feel that the College Equestrian Centre, and its activities, impact on their private lives in the Parish in a detrimental way. On the other hand some people feel the Centre brings benefits in terms of local employment, increased business to local pubs (though this issue is not borne out in practice), and puts the Parish on the map. As might be expected in any community, equine sporting activities are followed by a number of people in the Parish. However, the majority see the Centre in a negative light particularly with respect to the increase in traffic, damage to the roads and general noise issues. The attitude of those using the Centre and the attitude of the owners to complaints and planning issues further exacerbate the situation. |
