What we can do to helpThose of you who are interested might like to know that all is not lost; we can try to do something about it. Currently the East of England Development Agency has over £3m to invest in connecting communities like ours to Broadband. The Bolnhurst & Keysoe Parish Council is prepared to enter a competition that could enable us to have this service available to all parishioners, businesses and anyone living within this area. What do you need to do?Initially anyone interested should contact John Worth, a Bolnhurst & Keysoe Parish Councillor, whose email address is john@numaworth.freeserve.co.uk providing your name, home and email addresses plus your phone number. He will co-ordinate our entry to the competition. It is also important to register with the www.demandbroadband.com website, which is fronting the competition. Any other persons or businesses around the outside of the villages, might also like to make contact. The greater the number of people expressing an interest, the better our chances. * John Read has already set up a group called Stodden Broadband in Little Staughton and he can be contacted via jwread@iee.org |
